The Red Wine Is Made From The Syrah Grape Variety, The Vines Are At Least 45 Years and Cover A Surface Of 3.2 Hectares (15,000 Bottles). This Wine Has A Very Deep Colour With Hints Of Blue. Domaine Raymond Roure was acquired by the Jaboulet family in 1996 and is one of the fabled vineyards of the Crozes Hermitage appelation. The red wine section of the estate consists one one parcel on the sttep western flank of the Hermitage hill. Old syrah vines planted in granite soils produces a dense, full-bodied wine marked by rich black currant aromas in its youth. In a good vintage, the red wine of Domaine Roure will improve with age.
